For the past three years I have taken the habit of picking a word to live by throughout the year. This year the word that has been resonating with me is Simplicity. 2016 has been a good year overall, not booming with joy, but marked nonetheless with milestones. I got to spend time with all of my best friends this year, I got to travel, graduate with my Master and reconnect with my self. There have of course been many challenges and frustrations, but overall, it wasn't such a bad year.

Why I am choosing Simplicity for 2017

This year I got to do many things I wanted, and I am so grateful for that. I want 2017 to be the continuity of such wonderful experiences. However, at the same time, I want and need to simplify my life. Stop spending time, resources and energy on things that do not make me happy and do not contribute to my life mission. Instead, do more with less. That means,  spend less in stores, and trade those savings for a plane ticket instead. Knit, draw and journal more. Take more time to reflect on my life, remove anything that can be obtrusive to my environmental happiness. Maybe I'll finally unclutter completely my apartment? Basically my goal this new year is to live a more simplified and happy life.

What it means to you

When it comes to blogging, I hope to bring you a more simplistic approach to the content. Try to be more consistent around here, with 3-4 posts a week, introduce some weekly contributors, share more with you about my arts and crafts, while still bringing to the table accounts of my trips and good eating spots. I don't want to get over ambitious here of course, but I hope to bring more with less to SNB in the course of 2017.

That's about it.

I want to thank each one of you who have supported me and this blog, have subscribed, interacted with me through comments and social media, and shared with me and others ideas throughout this past year. Without you, there are many lessons I would have missed, and SNB would probably not be what it is today. So thank you.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year, and see you all next year!
