Aurora Musis amica.
Dawn is friend of the muses.

To wake up early morning, before the sun peaks in, before the world begins to rise and move. This has become a comforting routine, which doesn't seem to take note of what day of the week it is. It is not always possible for me to immortalize the first rays of sunshine with my camera, especially if I am headed out to work. But I love seeing the sunrise develop before my eyes, first hesitantly, and then before you know it, it's all out there, brave, and glorious. There is something about the morning glory, something so whimsical that one just wants to live in the moment just a little bit longer.

As I stood in the middle of my kitchen, pondering over a banana nut muffin recipe, I caught the beautiful colorations of the sun against the wooden fence and trees. Setting some water to boil for my morning cup of tea, I stepped outside, to grasp that smell of fresh morning air, and catch - at last- some beautiful rays of morning sunshine. With birds chirping in the backround, sun kissing the front yard, I felt so humbled by so much beauty and reveled in the quiteness that morning usually brings to those who dare stay still for a moment.
