Two quick sketches from yesterday. One is of my Alma Mater's Chapel and the other one a drawing of the Colombian coastline inspired by Taru+Alex's trip there. You can see that I have tried to add a bit of color to the first drawing.

While I was sketching, I realized how fun it was to do landscapes, as much as it is to do portraits. I like to draw people, mostly because I can feel closer to them and capture their expressions, which is priceless. But drawing nature and buildings has another feel to the whole process. I can't yet put a word to it, but I really enjoyed changing a bit from my habits. I am also looking forward to try and sketch the city of Douala in a near future.

  1. Ooh! I love this! I feel the same way about drawing people vs. drawing buildings.... they're both different which is why they're both worth doing :) Hope to see more urban sketching from you!
